Whatever you go through in life, you grow through them and that is how you stand as who you are today, because of your past experiences……

 

Few lines dedicated to a Father, who thought nobody was indispensable….

Dear Son,

Always remember nobody is indispensable…….. Life goes on…..

Dad,

How I wish I could tell this to you directly….

Just because you thought that Nobody is Indispensable,

Just because you thought you were not indispensable,

You have left us when we needed you the most,

Mom had to become indispensable….

Being the only male child, just because you were not there, I had to become indispensable,

I took up all the trauma and burden on my shoulders, while all other children who were of my age were happily enjoying their life. They did all those things that a child needs to do in his childhood.

My whole childhood went by, while I was carrying the burden which was never mine. I had to, because you thought you were not indispensable.

Days passed,

Months passed,

Years passed…..

One fine day when you come, I have no time to meet you, talk to you as I was busy doing my “so called” duties and responsibilities which were once yours had you been there. I couldn’t give you time nor talk to you.

Then when I had time to talk to you, you said, “Son, remember…… Nobody is “Indispensable” and left……

You left without trying to understand what my situation was, you were hurt that I could not spare some time for you.

I wish I could tell you this….. few years back and today there is no difference…. You left. At that time you left when I needed you the most. You didn’t have the time for me. Today, you left because I didn’t have time for you. That is the only difference.

Yes, I accept “Nobody is Indispensable” dad but, also know that because you thought you were not indispensable I had to become indispensable and that is why I could not spare time for you. Had you once thought before leaving us that you WERE Indispensable, probably today I would have had all the time in the world for you.

 

I am not complaining now that you were not there. I am happy with what has happened to me in life. All I am saying is:

“Nobody” is Indispensable, but “Everybody” is…..
