Love like the droplets of water on a lotus leaf

Because Detached love is the best.

The sun showers its love on Earth every day without being attached to it. Without the Sun, there is no life on earth but If we go too much near to the sun we burn and if we go farther from it there won’t be any life. So, love like the sun.

Moon is the reason for waves in the seas. Without the moon there will not be any waves and all life on the sea would come to a standstill. Having said that, if you go nearer to the moon, it will give rise to a Tsunami. So, love like the moon.

Take a glass of water and pour it on Lotus leaves. You will observe that though you have emptied your glass of water, the Lotus leaf does not get wet and you can see distinct water droplets on the leaf. Be like Lotus leaf.

When you mix oil with water, you can see that the oil manages to come on top of the water and never mix with it. When loving someone you should also be like Oil in the love called Water.

And that is why I say Detached love is the best Love because

• When your parents always love you and constantly think about you, chances are you might take them for granted and not realise their value
• You found the person whom you want to spend the rest of your life. Love them more than yourself and you will see that they take you for granted and chances are they end up hurting you. Because you have given them so much love that they do not value it enough
• Ever felt that your friends do not value you enough? Well, I think you should be blamed for it. Loving them too much and giving more importance to them in your life than required, they take you for granted

Getting attached to someone is the biggest problem not loving them. Love them as much as you can and want to but just do not get attached to them because attachment only hurts you more when it is not mutual and will be your restricting force. So detached and equidistant love is the best way to love. Learn from the best teachers of life i.e. “Nature”. This is the way even nature loves us.

Detached Love is the best Love. Because there will be no expectations, no insecurities, no possessiveness problems and most of all no problem of heartbreak!
