You are early today! Looks like you are interested in the sessions!
Yes Deepika, this place is nice so I thought why not I come a bit early and have some quiet time alone.
Oh yeah! It is good to take time off Pulkit. Everybody needs to take time off and go on a date with themselves every now and then so that you can come back with a bang.
So where did we stop last time?
You asked me how my wife got to know that I lost my job even before I told her and then you got a call and we had to stop it there.
Oh yes! Sorry about that. One of my friends sent me a parcel and I had to collect it immediately. So yes, how did your wife get to know that your company fired you?
Yeah, after I told her, I asked her how she knew so she said,
Isha: Remember when you came in I said that I was worried because your phone was not reachable. You usually come home by 8 PM but you didn’t come home. So I called your colleague and told him them that you are not home yet, he told me what happened and I got worried even more. I was going mad and all sorts of images flooded my mind assuming you took any drastic steps. I thought I lost you forever. I cannot imagine living a life without you in my life Pulkit.
Oh, and did she tell anything else? How did she take it?
Yes Deepika, I was wondering that even after knowing what has happened to me she was able to take all that in her stride and didn’t even give me a hint that she knew all along and though losing the job was not my fault, she still saw me for the person I am. My train of thought was interrupted by Isha.
Isha: Pulkit, though I had my fears, somewhere deep in my heart, I felt as if you would be coming home, back to me. I wanted to be ready and wanted you to have a really good ending to your day. I cooked your favourite curries so that it will make you feel better. I love you Pulkit, not for being perfect. But for being imperfect and being you. Your job doesn’t define your skills or success in life. Your integrity does.

Your job doesn’t define your skills nor your success. Your integrity does.

And above all when you came home, I wanted to tell you this and what I am about to say now, all the while you were dull.
“You didn’t lose the job honey, the job lost you.”
I think I should take a tip or two from your wife Pulkit she does know how to turn a bad day around!
Yes Deepika, I am lucky to have her in my life and thank god for giving her to me.
So what happened next?
I was in tears. I didn’t know what to say, she waited to see how I would respond and then she kissed me. I kissed her back. It was a night to remember.
I am glad that you have opened up with Isha, Pulkit. It is progress and you are a lucky man to have such a caring wife.
